On March 6th, the Grounded for Life team will be hosting a spaghetti dinner for their upcoming Relay for Life event. The dinner will be held at Village Chapel Free Will Baptist Church at 1825 Central Ave in Ceres, from 4:30 to 7:30.
Tickets are on sale now at the Ceres drugstore at 2949 4th St. Each delicious plate of spaghetti will be prepared by two professional chefs and sold for $5 a plate, but kids four years old or younger eat free.
You may choose whether you want to dine in, take-out, or have it delivered. All proceeds from the spaghetti dinner will go to the American Cancer Society.
The team's Relay for Life event is to be held on May 2nd at Ceres High school campus. They will be joining over thirty other teams to raise money for cancer research.
Co-captain Amy Browning says she hopes to see a turnout of about two hundred people for the dinner. Amy and all of her her teammates are personally affected, or have loved ones affected, by cancer at some time in their lives; it is in their honor that the team members participate in these events.
So if you want to do something for a good cause or are just looking for a good deal on some great food, go see the Grounded for Life team at the Village Chapel Free Will Baptist Church on March 6th.
