Dear Campus Community,

Beginning Spring 2010, tuition and fees not paid, or covered by pending financial aid, fee waiver, or third-party pay by published deadlines prior to the beginning of the term, will subject students to enrollment cancellation. Students will be dropped from their courses and their seats will be made available to other students.

For all students registering from November 23, 2009 through January 19, 2010, the payment deadline is Tuesday, January 19, 2010.

Financial Services, Enrollment Services, and Financial Aid are working collaboratively to ensure that the process is thoroughly tested, and that we clearly communicate the implementation of deadlines to the campus community. Students have been notified through various communications: information sent to their email, notification on their priority registration date information, posters, flyers, on the web, and soon, the information will appear on the student's registration. In addition, all incoming Fall 2009 students and parent attendees at the New Student Orientation sessions were informed of the implementation of this policy.

On the Tuesday, January 19th, 2010 deadline, students with a balance of $375 or less, will not be disenrolled from their classes.

Please feel free to send students with questions to Student Financial Services, Enrollment Services or Financial Aid; we will be happy to assist them. In addition, we are available to answer any questions you may have.

Thank you in advance for your assistance in informing and reminding our students of this important deadline.

Sincerely,

Lisa Bernardo, Interim Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management
Jim Phillips, Director, Student Financial Services
Noelia Gonzales, Director, Financial Aid and Scholarships
