Internships are out there
Issue date: 5/21/08 Section: Opinion
With summer fast approaching, sophomores and juniors are looking for internships.
For an eighth year, Nestlé USA was named the Most Admired Food Company in America by Fortune magazine and is seeking interns for its Beverage Division's Integrated Marketing Communications Department located in Glendale.
This internship for communication and journalism majors involves developing, writing and editing internal newsletters, working with human resources to write, edit and publish internal employee announcements and other communication projects for Nestle.
For those with more of a creative side, Aaron Chang International, a San Diego-based surf and swimwear company is looking for design interns.
Interns will be responsible for categories within the season as assigned per designer.
They will participate in the development of product lines, sit in on fit and design review sessions. Interns will also provide input on patterns, prints and photos.
When you think of McDonalds, you might only think of eating french fries and not being an intern for McDonalds Corporation, but McDonalds is the largest and best-known global foodservice retailer.
McDonald's in Southern California is seeking juniors who value teamwork and have great communication skills.
Interns can earn a great part-time salary with benefits paid by McDonald's and receive educational stipends toward college expenses. Opportunities in Los Angeles, San Fernando Valley, and the Inland Empire are available for internships.
