California State University, Stanislaus senior Justine Keel, 21, returned to the Turlock campus this spring after a prestigious internship last semester that gave her an up-close look at politics on Capitol Hill. Each CSU campus nominates one student, based on his or her exemplary scholastic achievements and interest in politics, per year for the internship.

Mom's cafe reopened on February 16th with a fresh look and widened food choices. The reconstruction of the dining area was paid for by University funds, while the added grill was paid for by Chartwells. The cafe now offers well over one hundred seats and a much more open atmosphere.

A Charity dinner and Relay for cancer research

On March 6th, the Grounded for Life team will be hosting a spaghetti dinner for their upcoming Relay for Life event. The dinner will be held at Village Chapel Free Will Baptist Church at 1825 Central Ave in Ceres, from 4:30 to 7:30.

Two New University Appointments

Two new positions have been filled at California State University, Stanislaus. The new Executive Director of University Extended Education, beginning on March 1, is Ms. Kristina Belanger, and the new Campus Compliance Officer is Ms. Gina Leguria.
