"Penumbra" Unveiled

Local art enthusiasts, students, and even a few curious community members convened last Wednesday in the Carol Burke Student Lounge in celebration of the unveiling of this years literary and art Journal, Penumbra. The publication, now in its 19th year is a collection of both student submitted and non affiliated artworks which include poetry, short stories, photographs and sketches.
Proposed Pub and Grill Excites Students
Many expect an increase in the social curriculum at Stanislaus

Students eager to further their social experience at California State University, Stanislaus may have a chance to vote in the fall on whether or not to start construction on a pub and grill, which is slated to be built in the former bookstore. If approved, construction will begin within three years.
Change in leadership at CSU Stanislaus

Provost William Covino will be leaving California State University Stanislaus at the end of this spring semester. Covino has been selected to serve as the new Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs at CSU Fresno. In his place, Dr. Herman D. Lujan will serve a one-year term as the Interim Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs for CSU Stanislaus.
Campus food services changing hands

Chartwells food service company has been chosen to replace Sodexho as the sole campus dining service provider for California State University Stanislaus. The Campus Dining Committee unanimously recommended negotiating a 10-year contract with Chartwells. Chartwells will begin serving as the new CSU Stanislaus foodservice provider on June 29.
Internet in the Dorms

Village residents at California State University, Stanislaus are all too familiar with an unreliable Internet connection. The Internet connection residents are required to use has a tendency to randomly shut out students, yet David Klein, Director of Network and Communications at Stanislaus, says the problem lies not with the connection, but with the program residents must use to connect.
Final Stress Relief

Head to the quad today to take part of USUPB's final stress relief event. According to Blake Fair, university/community coordinator, they will be giving out free massages by professional masseuses, handing out free scantrons, blue books, pencils and chocolate brownie Sundays, because the chocolate day event had to be cancelled due to a mix up with Sodexho.
