Star Trek appeals to all audiences

Star Trek is not your typical trekkie film. The film was released on May 8th 2009. On opening night the film grossed 4 million and it is still rated as the number one film to see by yahoo.com film critics. The film was directed by J. J. Abrams and written by Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman.

With the releases of such high-profile films as "Wolverine," "Star Trek," and "Angel and Demons" (all of which have been highly- anticipated continuations of previously successful films), the summer blockbuster film competition is officially on. Although I won't be able review the films that will succeed or fail during the summer, I can give you the top 5 films to watch for during the break between now and Fall semester.
