Car stolen in broad daylight from the dorms

A vehicle belonging to Village resident Josh Petitt was stolen at around 10 a.m. in the new dorm parking lot March 6. It was the second vehicle theft at California State University, Stanislaus since January. In 2007 there were four vehicle thefts at CSU Stanislaus.

All ASI Senate seats opening for the

It is that time of the year again and Associated Students Inc. Senate positions are opening up for the upcoming 2008 school year. All current officers must run again for their position if they wish to return. ASI senate positions are open to any California State University, Stanislaus undergraduate, graduate or post baccalaureate students with a cumulative GPA of 2.

Cesar Chavez: 'Si se puede'

In honor of Mexican American labor activist and leader of the United Farm Workers, Cesar Chavez, California State University, Stanislaus will be hosting the Cesar E. Chavez Memorial Celebration from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 3. "This event marks the 13th year that we, students, staff, faculty and community celebrate the life and values of Chavez at CSU Stanislaus," said Gabriela Nuno, co-chair of the event and Early Assessment and Admissions Counselor.

Spring break is approaching fast but you should have booked your tickets and hotel months ago. Fortunately for you, many places are still accepting late booking but you have to pay a little more then others if you want to have a good time. Many college students this year are planning to go to Panama City Beach, Florida and South Padre Island, Texas for Spring Break.
